Saif Ali Khan will make his rap debut with Honey Singh in Bazaar

We all know that Saif Ali Khan is an actor who knows how to play music and has performed in concerts as well, so it is a wonder that he waited so long in Bollywood to collaborate with any composer. However, now the reports are coming in that Saif would soon be making his rap debut alongside Yo Yo Honey Singh in Nikkhil Advani’s upcoming production, Bazaar.

Bazaar, is the directorial debut of Gauravv K Chawla, Nikkhil’s long-time assistant and the acting debut of late Vinod Mehra’s son Rohan. Another first for the movie will be the collaboration between Saif and Honey Singh. The duo is working on an upbeat Punjabi number which will be composed by Singh but sung by Saif and him. They have already had long discussions over the song. The film’s cast along with Chitrangada Singh and Radhika Apte will feature in the music video. The video will be shot in May in Mumbai.

A source close to the development of the song told a leading daily, “Saif knows a lot about music since he has been playing the guitar for over two decades. He’s also performed at concerts, both internationally and in India, and is a huge fan of jazz, blues and rock ’n roll. He takes an active interest in the score of his films as well and was excited when Nikkhil and Gauravv sounded him out on a rap alongside Honey,”

For the romcom Happy Ending which was directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, Saif had made his onscreen musical debut, by strumming the guitar and singing alongside Papon the song Khamma Ghani. Bazaar has stock market as its background and has Saif playing a street smart businessman named Nawaab. The film also features Atul Kulkarni and Anupriya Goenka in significant roles. The film’s soundtrack has been composed by Amaal Malik and Tanishk Bagchi.
