Of telescope, toy cars and dreams; here’s a sneak peek in to Sushant Singh Rajput’s home!

In the constant hustle and bustle of our daily lives and the city that Mumbai is, finding peace and solace might seem to be a tedious task. But our hero, Sushant Singh Rajput, seems to have found the perfect corner. In an episode of Asian Paints – Home is where the heart is, Sushant gives us a little sneak peek into his comfort corner.

“We always wonder how do stars become stars and once done, how do they maintain that. But I don’t think of it. I just look at the stars from my telescope.” An avid star gazer and astronomy enthusiast Sushant sure has a way around with his words too. Unlike the regular hunt-and-hold procedure of getting home, Sushant found his happy shelter just by watching a video of the house while he was away in Budapest, filming for his film.

Walking into his living room, the actor shares how each of the walls hold a special story. Little picture frames holding old posters and “ancient pictures”, a wall with framed mirrors, vintage artifacts, bright colors, are Sushant’s idea of traveling through time just walking around his living room.

A special mention to his “time-machine” – his telescope, perfectly stationed in front of his window in the living room, the actor escapes the mundane reality of everyday life and takes a dive into the Saturn rings, Jupiter moons, and even Andromeda – (our neighboring galaxy)!

While we thought thinking happens only in the head, Sushant has dedicated an entire room to it. Filled with books stacked on maze-like shelves and adding his awards next to them, sitting by the French window, the Kai Po Che star continues his “guftagu” with the writers and their words. Decked in multi-colored curtains around his study, an old yellow wooden table is all it takes for Sushant to get in the groove.

Sushant manages to find his forever guarded safely in his house in the form of his cute and shiny pet Labrador. A childhood dream that started off with a noodle-goodie – a Maserati toy car became an adult reality for Sushant. Even today, both the cars are a keepsake for him.

Literally and metaphorically, “going over the moon”, means entering the bedroom for this space enthusiast. With a bunch of pictures framed from his visit to NASA, a few pictographs of space, Sushant – a truly confused teen lives his teenage dreams of becoming an astronaut and an engineer – in this room.

A true-blue fan of retro music, science – fiction, moon watching and Nolan, Sushant Singh Rajput’s home is really where his heart is.
