Not co-star Salman Khan but Ravi Kishan helps ailing 'Veergati' actress Pooja Dadwal

Back in 1995 Salman Khan had acted in the actioner Veergati, written, produced and directed by K K Sngh. The film has also co-starred Pooja Dadwal. While Salman saw a meteoric rise to the top in the ensuing years, fate was not as kind to Pooja. After films like Sindoor Ki Saugandh (2002) and Hindustan (2004) she vanished into oblivion.
Now she resurfaces and it is a sorry tale of grave illness and poverty. She has been suffering from Tuberculosis and does not have money for her treatment.

Via a video she had appealed to Salman for help, however it did not manage to catch the superstar’s attention. She shared, “I learned about 6 months ago that I had a serious illness like TB. I tried to contact Salman Khan for help, but nothing has been done so far. If he looks at my video then maybe he will help me. I have been admitted to this hospital for the last 15 days. I used to do casino management in Goa for the last several years. I have no money at all, I depend on others for drinking tea.”

Instead, it has been Ravi Kishan, her co-star in Tumse Pyar Ho Gaya (1997), who has responded to her plea. The actor, through some of his colleagues, sent cash and fruits across to the ailing Pooja, who is undergoing treatment at a Mumbai hospital all alone. In a video recording of the encounter, a frail Pooja is seen thanking Ravi Kishan for his help on the camera.

In her viral video in which she is seen requesting Salman’s help, she revealed that she wants to live again. She shared that she did not expect Salman to bear all her expenses, but just wanted him to get her treatment done. Pooja had also added that she was sure the superstar would help her if he came to know about her plight.

Two weeks later there has still been no response from Salman. Pooja, abandoned by her husband and family due to her illness, still hasn’t lost hope.
