Lucky Vaani will most likely star opposite Ranbir now!

A binding contract with YashRaj is not a bad thing at all – in Vaani Kapoor’s case it has most likely bagged her a film opposite Ranbir Kapoor!

Although official confirmation is yet awaited, it appears that YRF in-house beauty Vaani Kapoor will be the lucky one to be cast in Karan Malhotra’s directorial for the production house. Considering that her leading man is none other than the very desirable Ranbir, and the film will be directed by the maker of Agneepath and Brothers, besides being produced by the formidable YRF, that is reason to rejoice!

Last month it had been revealed that Ranbir Kapoor, who has just wrapped shooting for Rajkumar Hirani yet untitled Sanjay Dutt biopic, was excited about his interesting line up of films. Besides Ayan Mukerji's upcoming fantasy drama Brahmastra, also starring Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan, he had apparently also inked Yash Raj Film's next venture.

The project in question is to be directed by Karan Malhotra, who had been part of Dharma Productions previously but has now signed a three-film deal with YRF. The film will be Vaani’s third outing with YashRaj, after her previous Shuddh Desi Romance and Befikre. What’s more, she will also play the female lead in yet another Yash Raj Films’ project to be directed by Siddharth Anand, with Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff in the lead along with her.

Vaani Kapoor had last made news during the time of Befikre. At that time she had shared, “I want to be a part of the best movies that are being made, and to work with the best directors. Otherwise, I will just pack up and leave. I am open to starting all over again. Right now my ambition is to have a home of my own in Mumbai, to do things for my family, to give back—they have done a lot for me. I don’t want to end up being dependent on anyone. Even if I’m here for just three more years, I’ll do a good job. No point being around for 10 years and doing crappy films.”

Well, with that Ranbir-starrer in her kitty, there will be no question of packing up and leaving!
