Vogue BFFs Season 2: When Juhi and Jackie ganged up against Anil!

So, the latest ‘BFFs With Vogue’ featuring '90s superstars Juhi Chawla and Jackie Shroff, didn’t disappoint in the least. In fact, it threw up some hilarious revelations. They also pulled each other’s leg – at least the Chirpy Chawla did…

Jackie charmingly revealed that he had been rather smitten by his leading ladies. “It never went further, but I had a crush on all my co-stars – Juhi ji, Madhuri ji, Dimple ji…” Juhi was quick to butt in, “You’re saying ‘ji’ and crushing…that doesn’t make sense!”

Jackie Shroff quit a film called Tahalka because they wanted to wax and clean him up and put him in a bikini! Looking at how Naseeruddin Shah and Aditya Pancholi ended up looking, that was one smart decision!

Juhi revealed that initially, she couldn’t see what the fuss about Shah Rukh (who is her other bestie, BTW) was all about. She shared that when they would all go on world tours, people abroad would cheer for her and other stars. However, on spotting Shah Rukh they would start screaming! This would leave Juhi wondering just what was so special about him!

Jackie Shroff is not beating himself to death over the video that had got leaked of him recording a public service message, during which he let slip several cuss words. “Sometimes you say things to yourself. They are not meant for anyone else to hear. It just comes out,” he shrugged. “But thanks to that video all of India got to know about polio drops!” There is no denying that, Bhidu!

Juhi will not pretend her disastrous dress days didn’t happen in the early phase of her career. “I was terrible with fashion. Terrible. I had too many curls in my hair and I had too much flounce in my dresses. I looked like I belonged on a cake!” Whatever it was, we loved her anyway, flounces and all!

And did Jackie made a gentle jibe at his co-actor and alleged rival Anil Kapoor’s fondness for method acting? He revealed that for a particular scene, he had to slap Anil and the director okayed the shot after the first take itself. However, Anil being Anil kept insisting on retakes so he could get the perfect expression. Jackie ended up doing the slapping scene 17 times! And at the end of it, the first take was retained!

Jackie and Juhi also got together and chuckled over Anil’s obsession with his looks. Jackie maintained, “He’s in love with himself, the way an actor should be. But how come the mirror don’t break?!”

Juhi preferred to not go down regret lane when discussing the film offers she had rejected. Instead she quipped, “Dil Toh Pagal Hai, Raja Hindustani, Biwi No.1… I have made superstars!” Now that’s called attitude!
