KJo-Rohit have not signed any actress for Simmba yet

Okay, first things first. Sara Ali Khan’s much-hyped Bollywood debut is not going to happen in Abhishek Kapoor’s jinxed film Kedarnath it now seems certain. But, PeepingMoon.com sources say, it won’t be in the Karan Johar-Rohit Shetty action film Simmba either. Desperate stories are being planted in the media about Sara joining Ranveer Singh in Simmba in the hope that Karan and Rohit might get the hint that she is suddenly available and grab her if they haven’t figured this out already. But, the buzz is that this isn’t likely to happen. The filmmakers have not signed any actress for the film.

Meanwhile, the battle between producer Prerna Arora of KriArj Entertainment and director Abhishek Kapoor’s Guy in The Sky production company over Kedarnath has taken a bitter turn and appears to be headed to court. Rather belatedly Sara’s parents Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh have realized that the differences between the two filmmakers have literally left their daughter out in the cold. And while other young debutant actresses are excitedly counting the days for their first films to release, Sara is left with an uncertain future after shooting the first schedule of Kedarnath with Sushant Singh Rajput.

The Bollywood grapevine has it that an exasperated Saif Ali Khan is now looking at options for his daughter to make her debut in. Knowing how unlikely it is for Sara to get another break in Dharma Productions after turning down Karan Johar earlier, Saif it is said might just consider producing a film for his daughter himself after all. There is also talk that Amrita Singh, with her daughter’s career in mind, has impressed upon Abhishek and Prernaa to let better sense prevail and take up Kedarnath again. But that again, like the rumour of Sara starring in Simmba, is not true at all. And the fate of the romantic drama set against the backdrop of the Kedarnath floods is as uncertain as its gorgeous actress’ debut.
