Sidharth Malhotra apologetic about his disrespectful comment on Bhojpuri language

During his promotional tour, actor Sidharth Malhotra attended Bigg Boss 11 with co-star Manoj Bajpayee, hosted by Salman Khan. During a segment, Sidharth recites Bhojpuri lines after Manoj. However it was his comment on the language that angered fans and especially Neetu Chandra who took to Twitter to address his insulting remarks.

Neetu, who is best remembered for her character in Sekhar Kammula's ‘Godavari’ also shared a clip where Sidharth says that speaking in Bhojpuri gave him "latrine" like feels.

He wrote, “I recently tried speaking a new language while I was on a TV show. In the process, if I inadvertently hurt anyone's feelings or sentiments, I apologise and assure you that no disrespect was meant in any way.”

Well, it’s the thought that counts. Better late than never, right?
