We think Abhishek’s compliment is adorable, right Ash?

We love the way Abhishek Bachchan always maintains a balance – yes, even when he is gushing over his gorgeous wife. At the Dabboo Ratnani calendar launch last night, he was naturally quizzed about Aishwarya, who features in the calendar as well. Without missing a beat he declared, “Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. She is my wife, so I think she is fantastic.’’

Now that is really being modest – who, in their right minds, wouldn’t think Ash is fantastic?! However, ever the discreet Bachchan, Abhishek always treads on the side of moderation when praising his wife’s stunning good looks. He is more comfortable complimenting her other qualities. “When she became a mother, her career took a backseat. Today, she does everything for Aaradhya. She is a supermom. To date people refer to her as the most beautiful woman in the world, and I know she is immensely grateful for the love. She values her fans and enjoys the adulation as well as the trappings of her career. Even with the hectic travel schedules and erratic work hours, I’ve never heard her complain about front or back of the plane, Maruti or Mercedes. Her focus isn’t on the trivial. It’s these things that leave me charmed,” he has raved.

Abhishek had also shared a beautiful insight into his relationship with Ash when he revealed, “As a man , nothing gives me more pleasure than putting my wife in front of me and seeing her be celebrated. Whether she receives a Padmashri or goes to Cannes, the most amazing thing I can do is be supportive. Anyone who says it isn’t a manly thing to do, that’s bullshit; that’s really regressive. And then the coolest thing is when you are done and back in your bedroom when it’s all over, and it’s just the two of you, she will make you feel like you are the most important thing in the world. And you know it meant the world to her to have you there – that’s what she is so happy about. That’s what’s most important to her.”

…And that’s what’s most important to him too. Go right ahead guys, keep giving us couple goals.
