It is Deepika Padukone’s birthday, you know, and all of yesterday, speculation was rife in Bollywood that the actress might announce her engagement to beau Ranveer Singh today. This, following the example set by Anushka Sharma who got married to Team India captain Virat Kohli last month. However, so far there has been no such exciting news coming from Sri Lanka where Bollywood’s glam couple is still carrying on their New Year vacation.
Deepika and Ranveer have been beloveds and co-stars for three years now are known for celebrating each other’s birthdays together. While they brought in the New Year swimming and snorkeling at a private beach resort in Maldives with their respective families, the couple is reportedly now in Sri Lanka from where the film industry is eagerly waiting for news of their engagement.
While this might not be on the cards for the actors who are anxiously waiting for the release of their film Padmavati, Bollywood’s celebrated astro numerologist and personal astrologer of India Inc, Sanjay B Jumaani, believes this might just be the best chance for the couple to get ‘knotty’. Says Jumaani, “Deepika is a No. 5 (Mercury) and she turns 32 (5) and enters her 33rd(6, Venus) year which promises to be quite eventful because 6 is among her best numbers and Venus denotes entertainment and love. Fortunately, Ranveer is a No. 6 too and he is in his 33rd(6) year as well. This is the best chance for them to get knotty!”

By which, Jumaani means he would be delighted if Deepika and Ranveer don’t just announce their engagement, but also get married this year. “While she’s an ‘Earth’ sign, he’s a ‘Water’ sign (6/07, Cancer) and Water and Earth have stayed together for ages. Mercury blesses Deepika with communication skills. She made a sparkling debut in Om Shanti Om that added to 41 or 5 again. And honoured my prediction by being Woman on Top in 2013 (6, Venus) when she overshadowed even Bollywood’s Khans by generating a business of 700-plus crore in an industry that’s made dominated with films like Chennai Express, Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, Race 2 and Ram Leela that year. Deepika was in her 28th (1, Sun) year and Sun denotes leadership and recognition. Her name adds up to No 1 too. Not only is the actress talented, but she’s lucky too! The combined powers of Deepika’s and Ranveer’s stars could give Padmavati a solid start at the box office.”
