Friends to cushion life’s blows; Deepika sure has them!

It is said we have three types of friends in life – friends for a reason, friends for a season, and friends for a lifetime. By the looks of it, Deepika Padukone’s circle of childhood buddies falls firmly in the last category!

We are loving the image Deepika Padukone has posted on Instagram, sandwiched between her “besties” Divya and Sneha. It’s proof that our gal has mastered the knack of leaving her professional woes behind and getting by with ‘a little help from my friends’.

It is rather admirable the way this lass has maintained her bonds with her childhood clique. Years of hard work, of powering her way to the top of the heap, and she still remains unchanged when it comes to her old pals.

A few days ago, she had grabbed eyeballs at the wedding of her ‘forever friend’, Aditya Narayan. Clad in a gorgeous silk sari for his wedding, she also posted images of the two of them as kids, looking adorable and thick as thieves even then. Guests at the wedding were gobsmacked at the way she interacted with all her friends and family at the wedding – but knowing Deepika, it really shouldn’t have been much of a surprise.

In September this year, she had taken a well-deserved break post a rigorous shoot schedule, to chill with family and friends in her hometown, Bangalore. Post a family vacation in London, she was spotted spending time with her friends and sister, Anisha, and was clicked having a blast at a comedy club in the city, as well as at a popular restaurant.

Last year, she had flown down from Canada, where she had been shooting for her debut Hollywood film xXx: The Return of Xander Cage opposite Vin Diesel, for the wedding of her bestie, Srila Rao in Sri Lanka.

Whether a Rajasthan tour, soaking in the carved beauty of the Ranakpur temple, or an all-girls trip with her schoolmates to celebrate a bachelorette party, Deepika seems to effortlessly devote TLC to her friendships!

As she once put it, “Yes my life has changed in terms of the fame and the success, the number of eyeballs on you all the time. I’d like to believe that it has not changed my ideology, the person that I am…”

Her circle of close friends would resoundingly agree.
