Here’s why Tanushree Dutta missed Ishita-Vatsal’s ‘no surprise’ shaadi!

Newlyweds Ishita Dutta and Vatsal Sheth whipped up a considerable surprise when they took the pheras on November 28 – and some admiration too! However, did they manage to keep things so quiet? A few details of the wedding and love story of this young and lovely couple…

Ishita reveals that their engagement and wedding were planned months ago, but they decided not to talk about it. “For me, the only thing that mattered was getting married in the presence of my family and very close friends. We did not want a big fat wedding,” she underlines. Vatsal adds, “I had always wanted a small, private wedding. Also, I am busy with my TV show… I am not even sure if we will host a wedding reception, but we thank all our well-wishers for their support.” In an age of big splashy weddings, this is a refreshing break from the norm.

The couple headed to Singapore for their honeymoon. “It feels good to be married. For now, I just want to spend some quality time with Vatsal before I get back to work,” said the beautiful bride. The smitten bridegroom gives us romantic goals as he states, “I have always wanted to marry the right woman, no matter how long it took. With Ishita by my side, I feel that my life is complete.”

But Ishita’s older sister, former actress Tanushree Dutta could not make it from the US for the wedding which raised a lot of eyebrows. “I tried my best to be there,” said the former beauty queen, “but unfortunately, could not make it. I am waiting to see my sister when she visits the US.” Tanushree is still single and says, “My marriage is written in heaven. It will happen whenever it is destined.” Tanushree's Instagram handle shows many pictures of the actress, where she is seen shooting for a Plus Size clothing brand in NYC.

The hush-hush wedding, a private ceremony, was attended by close friends including Bobby Deol, Sohail Khan, and Apoorva Lakhia, it was Ajay Devgn and Kajol’s presence that raised eyebrows. Not at all surprising, actually. When Vatsal made his Bollywood debut in the fantasy revenge drama, Taarzan - The Wonder Car, he played a boy who comes in the possession of his dead father's car. The car is possessed by the spirit of his father, who seeks revenge on the people who had killed him. Yes, Ajay Devgn had played the father in the film. There’s a ‘paternal’ connection from Ishita’s side as well – she had made her debut in the Hindi remake of Drishyam, in which she had played the elder daughter of Ajay Devgn!

Vatsal and Ishita had met during the shoot of their serial, Rishton Ka Saudagar – Baazigar. Apparently, Vatsal had saved Ishita from a freak accident, following which their love story blossomed.

Currently, Vatsal is seen in the TV serial Haasil, while Ishita's Bollywood film Firangi with Kapil Sharma releases this Friday.
