Will Uday and Nargis give us a nice, fat YRF style wedding? Fingers crossed!

The powers-that-be at YashRaj Films are maintaining a non-committal silence – they will neither confirm nor refute rumours doing the rounds about YRF scion Uday Chopra’s supposed nuptials with the gorgeous Nargis Fakhri. Nargis’ publicist claims that she is in Mumbai for a brief period for meetings with the music label for her song with Snoop Dogg, and is also doing a few other meetings for upcoming projects. Ms Fakhri is supposedly also catching up with her friends while she’s here.

Excellent, but we are still hoping there’s more than a grain of truth to the marriage rumours, especially since word has it the wedding might be as soon as early next year! Move over Harry and Meghan, we might have our own ‘royal’ wedding in the offing, haha.
The couple apparently started dating in 2012 but went their separate ways two years later. Since then, they have kept us guessing about the status of their relationship, though they never admitted to being involved in the first place. The signs though, were always there to see, as they dropped hints galore on social media and were also papped several times.
However, their relationship hit an especially rough patch post which Nargis suddenly left India for the US, leaving a trail of unanswered questions in her wake.

…Which is why, it comes as a burst of great news that not only is she back in the city, she is reportedly even living with Pam Chopra at the Chopra bungalow in Juhu. Buzz suggests that there is definitely a wedding on the cards - and ideally a big splashy one, at that! - as Uday is completely committed to the relationship and cannot wait to formalise it. Nargis too, who was previously known to quake at the idea of commitment in both her personal and professional life, appears to have finally matured. Her very presence of being in Mumbai, close to her beau, is proof of her seriousness towards the relationship. The cherry on the cake? Mama Pam reportedly adores her!

Even while she had never admitted to being involved with Uday, Nargis had been admirably candid about him, as a person. “Uday Chopra is a person who will be a part of my life for the rest of my life. He is the most amazing human being who I have ever met in my entire life not just in India but around the world. If anyone is his friend that person is lucky to have him in his life.”
