KJo to join Rajnikanth, Akshay and Rahman in Dubai on Oct. 27th

The countdown has begun. And Dubai is feverishly seized with excitement! It’s five days more for the epic audio launch of S. Shankar’s sci-fi entertainer 2.0 that will bring Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson from Bollywood and the great Rajnikanth and music maestro A. R. Rahman from Kollywood to the emirate city known for its luxury shopping, ultramodern architecture and scintillating nightlife entertainment.

The music event will be held at the Burj Park, a sprawling 11,300 square metres lawn, which has the most enviable view of the majestic Burj Khalifa and Dubai Fountain by its side. And from what Peeping Moon.com has exclusively learned of the music launch, even this area is likely to fall short of space, for joining the celebrated names on the glitzy stage will be arguably the world’s most in-demand impresario and anchor – Bollywood’s supreme showman Karan Johar! Yes KJo, who is always a big draw in Dubai, will host the 2.0 event and be master of ceremonies that glamorous evening!

Karan has done this before for 2.0. At the much-awaited launch of the film’s motion poster last November in Mumbai’s YRF Studios. That grand function was the first-of-its-kind event in cinematic history. And apart from Shankar, Akshay, Rajnikanth, Rahman and Amy, the others who jammed KJo’s stage were sound designer Resul Pookutty and producer Subashkaran of Lyca Productions. The Who’s Who of Bollywood made up the audience. But giving the event an extra zing was Salman Khan who joined Rajnikanth and Akshay on stage much to KJo’s delighted surprise.

Invitations for Friday’s event in Dubai went out well in advance to help invitees make their plans and travel arrangements. An innovatively designed 3D card with two hands on a keyboards, one the metallic hand of Chitti – The Robot, a character played by Rajnikanth, and the other a predatory bird’s talons, the hand of Akshay’s villainous alien character Dr. Richard, welcomed those privileged to get the card to the Dubai extravaganza.

Three chartered flights have reportedly been booked to take the film’s cast and guests to Dubai from Bollywood in Mumbai and Kollywood in Chennai. From what Peeping Moon.com has learned, Rajnikanth, Akshay and Rahman are going to dramatically arrive at the Burj Park by chopper. It will fly skim over Dubai’s skyscraper-filled skyline, pass the 830-metre-tall Burj Khalifa, and land at the Burj Park where Karan Johar will be waiting to strike the right chord and introduce Rahman’s music for 2.0. Are you going to be there?
