Mahira Khan is having the last laugh. After being trolled badly for the viral pics of her smoking with Ranbir Kapoor, the beauty is on her way to greater fame. Looking fabulously chic in a white outfit, she walked the ramp confidently and then came the announcement just before the finale – she was the new brand ambassador of L’Oreal, joining the ranks of beauties this side of the border like Aishwarya Rai, Sonam Kapoor, Frieda Pinto and Deepika Padukone.
It’s a great boost for Mahira, who is a popular style icon in Pakistan and has been a popular choice for fashion and beauty brands. She already has a sizeable bouquet of brands which she endorses, such as Lux, Sunsilk, and Veet, to name a few; of course, L’Oreal is a game-changer for her.
Speaking about the association, Mahira declared, “I am proud and honoured to be the first Pakistani Brand Ambassador for L’Oreal. L’Oreal celebrates women empowerment and it goes beyond beauty… Let nobody’s opinion define who you are because all the women out there, including me, are worth it!”

Mahira does appear to live by that adage – ‘Let nobody’s opinion define who you are…’ She had put up a strong face in the midst of all the abuse and shaming that poured in after being papped in a short dress, smoking with Ranbir. The hate had got so intense, it needed Ranbir Kapoor to issue a statement in a leading daily saying, “I've gotten to know Mahira in a personal capacity over the last few months. She is somebody who I admire and respect, for her achievements and even more for the person she is. It is very unfair the way she is being judged and spoken about. What is also said is the inequality in judgment just because she is a woman. I request you to stop the negativity and move on with your beautiful god gifted lives. Peace and Love.”
It's peace, love and work for Mahira, as she also has a release coming up with Shoaib Mansoor’s Verna. The trailer is due to release and, like we said, the lady is having the last laugh after all.
