Director Umesh Shukla's 102 Not Out which brings together Bollywood veterans Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor after 27 years, may not have a solo release on December 1 after all. Trade circles now reveal that Suresh Triven’s Tumhari Sulu, which Vidya Balan is banking on to revive her stagnant career after the non-happening Kahaani 2 of December 2016, will hit the screens the same day. The actress has not had a release in one year and Amitabh and Rishi together have not had a film together for 27 years. Film critics are anticipating it will be a close finish at the box office.

However, both filmmakers wish they could avoid this clash at the box office. But sometimes it is difficult to pick other dates and avoid such confrontations. Umesh, who is busy with the post-production of 102 Not Out, says unhappily, “I am not okay with the films releasing on the same day. Bhushan Kumar of T-Series, the producer of Tumhari Sulu, is a very good friend so we are going to try for alternate dates." Umesh definitely wants a solo release for his Amitabh Bachchan-Rishi Kapoor starrer. "Either of us will move our film, we are going to sit together and decide the dates.”

Bollywood has seen some big clashes in the five years which have spoilt many old relationships. Among the more famous ones was Ajay Devgn vs. Shah Rukh Khan in 2012. Their films Son Of Sardaar and Jab Tak Hain Jaan respectively had released on the same day. And while both did good business at the box office the stars have not been able to see eye-to-eye after that. But Umesh claims that there is no animosity between Bhushan and him as they share a very good rapport. “We will make sure that none of us go in the losses," he says.

But before that, Ajay Devgn who is a veteran of box office clashes will be going down that rocky road again this Diwali when his Golmaal Again comes up against Aamir Khan's Secret Superstar.Much to the dismay of trade circles wanting to take bets on the films, neither Ajay nor Aamir appears concerned about this imminent clash.
