Rakhi Sawant is controversy's favourite child. The actress who recently participated in Bigg Boss 14 made headlines for disclosing personal issues on national television. Now, according to a report, Rakhi and her brother Rakesh Sawant have been accused of fraud. Reportedly, an FIR has been lodged against the Sawant siblings at Vikaspuri police station in Delhi. Apart from them, a person named Raj Khatri has also been accused in the FIR. According to reports, the complaint emerged from a 2017 case.
As per a daily's report, Shailesh Srivastava, a retired bank employee, met Rakesh to start a business. Reportedly, Raj arranged their meeting. Rakesh and Shailesh apparently planned to produce a film based on the story of Baba Gurmeet Ram Rahim. Not just this, the two were reportedly planning to open a dance academy in Delhi.

The daily's report further stated that Rakesh promised Shailesh that Rakhi would be a part of the dance academy. On this pretext, Rakesh and Raj apparently took Rs. 6 lacs from Shailesh. The report also mentioned that Rakesh and Raj gave the victim a post-dated cheque. On reaching the bank, Shailesh learned that the cheque had the wrong signature. Since the signatures on the agreement between both the parties were wrong, the deal became invalid.
Reportedly, Shailesh repeatedly called Rakesh but didn't receive a response. As per reports, Rakesh had asked Shailesh to produce another short film.
Rakhi and Rakesh are yet to give an official statement.
