NCB conducts raid at Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal's residence, issues summon for interrogation

The Narcotics Control Bureau has been investigating the alleged Bollywood drugs case for a few months. Now, as the investigation is in full swing, the agency is tightening its claws. On Sunday, the NCB conducted a raid at renowned Bollywood producer Firoz A. Nadiadwala's residence and arrested his wife Shabana Saeed along with drug peddlers in the operation conducted at different places- Andheri, Khar and Bandra.

Now, in the latest development, the NCB conducted a raid at Arjun Rampal's residence today (November 9).  The news agency ANI, on Twitter, tweeted about the same. The actor has been summoned by the NCB for interrogation. He will be joining the investigation on November 11, 2020.

Previously, Arjun's girlfriend Gabriella Demetriades' brother Agisilaos Demetriades was arrested by the NCB. The NCB, in connection to the ongoing drugs probe, arrested Agisilaos in October after the investigating agency seized hashish and alprazolam tablets. 

Firoz's wife Shabana was arrested after the NCB officials reportedly seized drugs worth around Rs 3.59 lakh. The four people were taken for a medical test and the NCB also issued a summon to Firoz. 

Sameer Wankhede, Zonal Director of the Narcotics Control Bureau, Mumbai, told a leading daily, "We conducted a major strike in Western Mumbai and Navi Mumbai where we recovered ganja in commercial quantity, Mephedrone and other different drugs. We also intercepted five peddlers and based on that we conducted and recovered some drugs today morning from his house which was supposed to be part of the same seizure."
