Popular TV actress Devoleena Bhattarcharjee, known as 'Gopi Bahu' form the daily soap Saath Nibhana Saathiya has been named in diamond merchant's death case. The dead body of the diamond merchant was found in Panvel area of Navi Mumbai. The demand trader, Rajeshwar Kishorelal Udani,was missing from November 28, after his car was found at the Eastern Express Highway in Mumbai.
According to the police, after Rajeshwar did not return home his family filed a missing case at the Pant Nagar police station in Mumbai. The police investigating murder case checked CCTV footage and came to know that Rajeshwar headed to Navi Mumbai from Mumbai in another car.

The call details revealed that the deceased diamond merchant was in contact with Devoleena, including many girls working in the dance bar.
The police has so far questioned around 20 people, including the small-screen actor 'Gopi Bahu,' Devoleena including the actress' alleged BF Sachin Pawar. Apart from Devoleena and Sachin, Personal Assistant of an ex-minister has also been detained and will be questioned for 48 hours. Due to the political angle to the case, the police authorities are taking extra care to handle the case and the names associated.
