Neeru Randhawa on withdrawing case against Armaan Kohli: It was heartbreaking to see his 90-year-old father in court

The physical abuse case against Armaan Kohli, filed by his live-in partner, Neeru Randhawa has been quashed. Now, as per a report in a leading daily, the fashion designer took an amount Rs 1 cr before agreeing to withdraw the case against the actor.

It was on June 4 when Neeru was admitted to the hospital due to a severe head injury caused when Armaan banged his head on the wall and beat her up. The report has mentioned that Neeru decided to settle the case because she wanted to move on in life at her earliest. She also revealed that she didn't do it all for money but because she was fighting for herself. She said, "If it was about the money, then I would have let the case go on for some years. But I wanted to move on. In future, if he raises his hand on any woman, she can take him to court and have him put in jail. He has been warned that he won’t get any favours from the court if he misbehaves with any woman".

Neeru also revealed how seeing Armaan's aged father in the court had her rethink her decision. She said, "It was heartbreaking to see his father, who is 90, stand in court for his son’s wrong-doings at this age. It was stressful to know if he doesn’t get out, there was no one to take care of them (Armaan’s parents). Considering these factors, I decided to withdraw my case".

The designer had styled the actor in Salman Khan starrer Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. In fact, it was only when the two started dating and got into a live-in relationship. Neeru had also alleged that it was not for the first time Armaan hit her. She revealed that he had once almost broken her nose during a bitter argument.
