Mumbai’s Juhu Police has arrested veteran actress Shubha Khote’s domestic helper for robbing the actress of lakhs of rupees. A portal reported that the actress had ventured out of her house for some important work. When she returned, she found her safe open and about Rs 1.5 lakhs missing. When she confronted her domestic help Yogiraj Anand Pujari about the theft, he denied the occurrence.
Reportedly, she immediately took him to the nearest police station and registered a case against him. After the police’s interrogation, Pujari accepted the theft and the police could recover the stolen amount from him. Around Rs 50,000 was recovered from Pujari. The Police registered a case against the helper under IPL 381 (theft) and arrested him. Today he was presented in front of a judge for police remand. The court put him under judicial custody. The police are interrogating Pujari further about the case.
Shubha is a veteran actress who started working in Hindi films when she was 4-years-old. Her first film was Seema (1955) in which she played the role of Putli. She bagged the role because she was a good cyclist. Since then, she has worked in numerous Hindi and Marathi films, stage shows and TV serials.
