For Summer/Resort 2020, designer Amit Aggarwal put up his first ever Grand Finale showcase, a collection inspired by Lakmé’s beauty theme of ‘#Betterin3D’, against a backdrop of the iconic Mukesh Mills in Colaba. The star of the event, Lakmé Brand Ambassador, the gorgeous Kareena Kapoor Khan returned to the runway in a structured and elegant gown made in a stunning shade of green - that once again proved that she is the ‘ultimate queen of the runway’!

The new Lakmé Absolute 3D collection is based on the theme #Betterin3D, which is all about matte with a hint of shine. Kareena was also spotted wearing a stunning lip shade from the new range adding depth and dimension to her showstopper look!

Amit Aggarwal’s finale collection, AXIL was a perfect fit within this theme, as it was built around his vision of future. In this collection, he showcased his signature aesthetic of futuristic biomimicry and allowed the audiences to journey into a multi-dimensional future that is empowered by juxtapositions.

On the Grand Finale runway, the couture created by the visionary designer, stood out as he managed to create the perfect amalgamation of both structured and free-flowing designs, with razor sharp constructions, intricate patterns using unusual polymers woven into fabric – to create the ultimate 3D forms!

“Lakmé Absolute Grand Finale has always been special to me, but this year with LFW celebrating 20 years and me celebrating 20 years in the industry – made it extra special” said Kareena Kapoor Khan, the showstopper and Lakmé brand ambassador.
