Lakme Fashion Week S/R 2019: Kareena Kapoor Khan graces the runway for Shantanu Nikhil at the Lakme Absolute Grand Finale and we're utterly obsessed!

Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2019 has come to an end! As we look back on the week that has been, we cannot help ourselves but reminisce on all the sartorial highs.

What made for an even better ending was the Finale show that ended this season on a rather fashionable note. The face of Lakme, Kareena Kapoor Khan was the show-stopper for designers Shantanu Nikhil at the Grand Finale of Summer/Resort Fashion Week. Sporting an ensemble from their newest collection, the Recruit, the actress closed the season finale with a bang!

Dressed in a black princess-cut, bodycon number, Bebo strutted down the aisle wearing one of the label's recent creations.

Her ensemble has a mesh detailing at the sides that just upped the hotness quotient and the edginess of the dress. So stunning!

Sticking to red, black and gold, the collection named as 'Recruit: S/S19 Couture Collection' featured a lot of gowns, coats and dresses fused with trends like faux fur, animal prints, embellishments, embroidery and chunky belts.

A brief video before the show highlighted achievements of women like Kareena, Saina Nehwal, Sania Mirza, Alia Bhatt and Dia Mirza among several others.

The designers, who marked their first time at the LFW grand finale, showcased their line Recruit SS'19, aiming to highlight the evolution that has led to the emancipation of the millennial Indian woman.

"The concept of the show by Shantanu and Nikhil was just so noble and brilliant. I am absolutely honoured to walk for them,...I could feel the energy on the stage when I was on the ramp. I still get nervous even though it has been a decade. Still the fear of 'Oh my God, will I look okay? And how is it going to be' is there. But today, I think it was just a powerful feeling," Kareena concluded after the show.

Now that's what you call a grand finale! With another season of the sartorially loaded week behind us, we cannot wait for the W/F 2019 to arrive!
