Ekta Kapoor and Kangana Ranaut's reality show Lock Upp will premiere on ALT Balaji and MX Player on February 27. The confirmed contestants are Nisha Rawal and Munawar Faruqui. Now, as the name of the participants is being unveiled daily, Rakhi Sawant revealed that her 'former husband' Ritesh Singh has been approached for Lock Upp.
Talking to the paparazzi, Rakhi said, "Mujhe offer nahi aaya...nahi offer aaya hai kahin pe, par meri baat shayad hui nahi hai unse. My husband Ritesh has got the offer...ex husband. Unko offer aaya hai...I don't know woh jayenge nahi jayenge, mujhe nahi pata hai."
Rakhi, who has participated in Bigg Boss thrice, shared whether she will be interested in doing Lock Upp if offered. She added, "Ekta ke liye toh shayad mein jaon bhi lekin didi (hinting at Kangana) ke liye na jaon mein."
In a viral video, Rakhi can be seen slamming Kangana for taking a dig at Salman Khan, the host of Bigg Boss. "Mujhe bahut bura laga jab Kangana ne kaha, ‘Yeh tumhare bhai ka ghar nahi hai. Behen, suno, itne time se bhai hi show chala rahe hain. Tum mein (Kangana) dum hai to ek show chala ke dikhao. I think Bhai me dum hai, behen me nahin hai," she said.
Rakhi introduced Ritesh on Bigg Boss 15 after much speculation. On February 13, she announced their separation. "Dear friends and well-wishers just wanted to say that Ritesh and I have decided to part ways. After the Bigg Boss show a lot has happened and I was unaware of certain things which were out of my control. We have tried to work out differences and tried to make things work but I think it’s best we both move on amicably and we both enjoy our lives separately," she wrote in a statement.
