Disha Vakani, popularly known as Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah's Daya Gada, is on a break from the daily soap since 2017. She took a maternity leave to welcome her daughter, named Stuti, with her husband Mayur Padia. Even after 4 years, there are no signs of her returning to Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.
While nobody has any clue about Disha's return and the future of Dayaben's character, recent pictures of the actress indicated that she is expecting her second child. An Instagram page dedicated to Disha shared multiple pictures of her dressed in a blue and golden lehenga. It seems she attended a wedding with her husband Mayur. Though unconfirmed, the prominent baby bump caught the attention of netizens.
There were rumours of Disha being replaced in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. However, it has not happened yet as the team is waiting for her confirmation. It was being said that there were issues between the actress and the producer, Asit Kumar Modi on her paycheque.
Disha made a brief appearance in 2019 during a special Navratri track.
