Prime Minister Narendra Modi condoles the death of actors Ghanshyam Nayak and Arvind Trivedi

The Indian television industry lost two veteran actors in a span of 2 days. Renowned actors Ghanshyam Nayak and Arvind Trivedi passed away recently and left a huge void that will never be filled ever. Mr Nayak succumbed to cancer at the age of 77 whereas Mr Trivedi suffered a massive heart attack at 82 years. Mourning the loss of two stalwarts of Hindi and Gujarati films and television, the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, offered condolences. 

Mr Modi shared a picture with Mr Nayak, who was last seen as Natu Kaka in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. He wrote, "In the last few days, we have lost two talented actors who won the hearts of people through their works. Shri Ghanashyam Nayak will be remembered for his multifaceted roles, most notably in the popular show ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.’ He was also extremely kind and humble."

The Prime Minister of India posted a throwback picture with Mr Trivedi, popularly known as Ramayan's Ravan. "We have lost Shri Arvind Trivedi, who was not only an exceptional actor but also was passionate about public service. For generations of Indians, he will be remembered for his work in the Ramayan TV serial. Condolences to the families and admirers of both actors. Om Shanti," he tweeted. 

Mr Nayak passed away on October 3 whereas Mr Trivedi breathed his last on October 5.
