Nakuul Mehta wrote, "One of the greatest actors this world has ever experienced has left us and with him the last of the golden generation of hindi cinema of the 50s & 60s. Hoping that a lot of the future generation can learn about him, watch his films, read his biography and know the tall tree from which all the branches, leaves and fruits have emerged. P.s. Just like the greatest batsmen in the world, Sir Don Bradman, the legendary Dilip Saab left us at 99. Maybe that's telling of life too. Its not in the records but in the 'impact' that one leaves behind, one is remembered and celebrated. These two will have a special place up there."
