Diya Aur Baati Hum actress Deepika Singh draws criticism for dancing around uprooted trees after cyclone Taukate, netizens say 'shame on you'

As India is currently in a dire state while fighting COVID-19, several states had to deal with the "extremely severe cyclonic storm" Tauktae on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Maharashtra was one of the most-hit state after Gujarat. Lives were lost, properties were damaged and trees were uprooted. Cyclone Tauktae came with heavy rainfall and wind. After the cyclone wreaked havoc in the city, Deepika Singh Goyal stepped out of her residence to enjoy the weather. 

The Diya Aur Baati Hum actress shared pictures and a video of herself dancing around uprooted trees on the street. Posting pictures in a noodle strap colourful outfit, Deepika wrote, "You can’t calm the storm, so stop trying. What you can do is calm yourself, embrace the nature and it’s gloomy moods because the storm will pass.. Ps: This tree fell right outside my house nobody got hurt, but while putting it away from my door, Rohit and I managed to take few pictures to remember the #cyclonetauktae!"

Sharing a video, the actress wrote, "Bola tha na life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s learning to dance in the rain "

While some appreciated Deepika's look, many ended up trolling her. One user wrote, "Instead of dancing in rain, clean the surrounding near you and be the responsible citizen. The tree is fallen... And u r enjoying that.. Shame on you."

Another user slammed her saying, "Tufaan ne tabahi machai hui h, aur inko masti ki soojh rahi hai."

A user said, "Tumhare ghar ki chat sahi salamat hai isiliye."

"Aapda ko awasar mai badle," said a user slamming her.

Deepika shot to fame with Diya Aur Baati Hum in 2011. She later starred in Kavach... MahaShivratri.
