FWICE lifts 2 months ban on Gauahar Khan for flouting COVID-19 norms, issues a stern warning to abide by the rules

Gauahar Khan can finally breathe a sigh of relief after weeks filled with challenges. The actress was accused of flouting rules after allegedly testing positive for COVID-19 in the month of March. Days after the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) filed a case against her, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) decided to ban her for 2 months. The association labelled Gauahar's act 'disrespectful'.

However, Gauahar and Alchemy Productions requested FWICE to lift the ban. Now, the association considered their request and the actress can now resume shooting of her upcoming web series. In a letter, FWICE mentioned,"Being the lead actress your act had endangered the health and lives of the entire crew and it was not acceptable by the FWICE at any cost. Now, that you have already completed the quarantine period, it is safe for you to resume your work and the FWICE, therefore, permits you to continue your shooting with immediate effect."

FWICE further asked Gauahar to be cautious and abide by the rules. They wrote, However, we look forward to your cooperation in abiding by all the rules and regulations of the FWICE and the government to control the spread of the deadly virus. If you fail to do so, the FWICE shall once again compelled to impose the irrevocable Non-Cooperation Directive upon you which please note."

According to reports, Gauahar was sent to an isolation centre till March 24.
