It seems Indian television isn't cutting ties with swayamvars. Rakhi Sawant started the trend in 2009. Soon after Rakhi Ka Swayamwar, we saw Rahul Dulhaniya le Jayenge (2009) ft. Rahul Mahajan, Ratan Rajput's Ratan Ka Rishta (2011) and then Shehnaaz Gill and Paras Chhabra's Mujhse Shaadi Karoge (2020). While we thought the trend of swayamvar has died a natural and much-deserved death, here comes a fresh development.
According to a leading daily's report, Arshi Khan is going to have to own swayamvar on national television. A source told the daily, "Makers are already ahead on the show. After Shenaaz Gill’s swayamvar, the channel wants the season to be a hit on the TRP chart. While Arshi’s antics has bought in a good TRP for Bigg Boss, it’s expected her swayamvar will also grab eyeballs."

The report further mentioned that Arshi has approved the idea and Rahul Mahajan has been roped in to host the show tentatively titled Aayenge Tere Sajna. For the unversed, Arshi participated in Bigg Boss 11. However, she entered Bigg Boss 14 house as a 'Challenger'.
