After many months of dullness, wedding bells are ringing in tinsel town. After Shaheer Sheikh, television actress Shirin Sewani, who was seen as Jasmeet Maheshwari in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai opted for a court marriage. Shirin married her longtime beau Udayan Sachan in Delhi on Sunday (December 6). Udayan is an airline captain. Recalling her first meeting with Udayan, Shirin said they were introduced to each other at a friend's birthday party.
"We both met at a common friend’s birthday party, which both of us were about to miss (laughs). But I guess we were destined to meet that day. We hit it off instantly and knew the first day we met that this is it. Now, I am just looking for the eventful journey called life, together with him," Shirin told.
After a court marriage, Shirin and Udayan had a small ceremony at home with a few family members in attendance. "I always wanted it to be like this. Weddings, I feel, are a very personal affair. When things allow for some normalcy, we will definitely celebrate with our extended families and friends," she added.
Shirin and Udayan will be spending time with his family in Dehradun. "As of now, we will be staying with Udayan’s parents in Dehradun, and maybe explore some nearby getaways. When the time and situation permits, we will sneak out to get some more alone time," Shirin said.
