Devoleena Bhattacharjee, Rupal Patel, Sneha Jain's 'Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2' a remake of Marathi show 'Sukh Mhanje Nakki Kay Asta'?

After attaining the title of the most popular show between 2010 and 2017, Saath Nibhaana Saathiya is finally getting its second season. Devoleena Bhattacharjee, who replaced Gia Manek as Gopi, will be reprising the character along with Rupal Patel aka Kokila Modi and Mohammad Nazim aka Ahem Modi. The new additions in the lead are Sneha Jain and Harsh Nagar who will be playing Gehna and Anant. Now, as the show is inching closer to its October 19 premiere on Star Plus, the makers shared multiple promos on social media.

Apparently, looking at the promos, it appears Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2 is a Hindi version of the Star Pravah's Marathi daily soap Sukh Mhanje Nakki Kay Asta. The first promo that introduced Gehna (Sneha) as a vulnerable and soft-spoken young girl who works as domestic help and is ill-treated by the rich family members. Anant, who has returned from America, stands up in her favour. In the other promo, Gehna shown to be a married woman and Anant, her husband, continues to support her. The concepts of Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2 promos are similar to the clippings of the Marathi show starring Girija Prabu and Mandar Jadhav.

In the past, regional language shows have been adapted into Hindi and were successful. Star Plus' Anupamaa starring Rupali Ganguly, Sudhanshu Pandey and Madalsa Sharma is the Hindi version of Star Jalsha's Bengali series Sreemoyee.
