The Coronavirus pandemic continues to wreak havoc. Now, as shoots of television shows and films have begun, the news of Shweta Tiwari testing COVID-19 positive has come across. The actress who is currently seen in Mere Dad Ki Dulhan with Varun Badola, has contracted the virus. Informing a leading daily about the same, Shweta told that she developed a cough on September 16 and got herself tested to eliminate risk.

The actress is currently home-quarantined. She lives in Mumbai with her daughter Palak Tiwari, who is making her debut in Vivek Oberoi's Rosie: The Saffron Chapter. "Thankfully I have sufficient rooms. So, I have quarantined myself. Palak is also very particular about social distancing. It's a tough time no doubt. Even on the sets, it's so difficult to shoot. It's so edgy at times. When will we come out of this pandemic?" Shweta said. She further told that her 3-years old son Reyansh Kohli is with his father Abhinav Kohli. Shweta and Abhinav have parted ways.

Shweta told the daily that she will remain home-quarantined till October 1 and her next test will be done on September 27. "I am drinking lots of hot water essentially and reading a lot. I had symptoms for the first three days. I got tested on September 17. But now I am okay. I have to quarantine myself till October 1 at least. My next test will happen on September 27," she added.
