After Hindi, Marathi and Bengali, Arun Govil's-Dipika Chikhlia's 'Ramayan' Telugu version to telecast from June 15

Ramanand Sagar's iconic television show Ramayan has rightfully made history. Not just during its original telecast in the late 80s, but with its re-run amid Coronavirus lockdown, the mythological show garnered the attention of avid television watchers. The show featuring Arun Govil as Lord Ram, Dipika Chikhlia as Sita, Sunil Lahri as Lakshman, Dara Singh as Hanuman and Arvind Trivedi as Ravan broke all TRP records in India. Now, after telecasting in Hindi along with Marathi and Bengali versions, Ramayan is all set to air in Telugu on Star Maa.

Confirming the same, the channel Star Maa, on its Twitter account, shared the Telugu language promo and informed that it will be telecast at 5.30 pm from June 15. "The classic tale of #Ramayanam by Ramanand Sagar...Starting this June 15th, Mon-Fri at 5:30 PM on @StarMaa," read the tweet.

Directed by Ramanand Sagar, Ramayan registered the highest-ever rating for a Hindi General Entertainment Channel (GEC) program since 2015. The re-run of the epic mythological show began on March 28 and concluded on April 18 on DD National. Days later, Star Plus started airing it again from May 4. The Marathi and Bengali edition started on Star Jalsha and Star Pravah from June 1.
