Lookit! Amul celebrates Ramayan’s world record of clocking highest viewership and overtaking ‘The Big Bang Theory’ and ‘Game of Thrones'

Ramanand Sagar’s epic serial Ramayan started its re-run amid Coronavirus lockdown after popular demand. The serial’s popularity once again captured the imagination of the Indian audience. The serial was such a hit that not even a day went by when its episodes and characters were not trending on social media. Now, the serial made a new world record as well by garnering the highest viewership for any serial ever and left behind the popular sitcom The Big Bang Theory way behind.

Ramayan clocked more than 77 million views on April 16, 2020, leaving behind The Big Bang Theory at 18 million views and Game of Thrones at 17.4 million views. To celebrate this humongous achievement Amul shared a topical advertisement today. The topical’s caption took a dig at The Big Bang Theory and read, “The Biggest Bang, Loved By Millions.” Check it out below.
