Coronavirus Shutdown: Ekta Kapoor treats fans of Ram Kapoor- Sakshi Tanwar by airing their web series 'Karrle Tu Bhi Mohabbat' instead of Kumkum Bhagya-Kundali Bhagya re-run

The rapid spread of the deadly Coronavirus has enabled the world to come to a complete standstill. With the infection multiplying among citizens at an alarming rate, the Central and State Government in India has announced curfew and lockdown to fight against the virus. Declared as a pandemic by the World Health Organisation, Coronavirus aka COVID-19 is a threat to human lives. Now, with a lockdown, shoots of films, television shows and web content have come to a halt. Owing to this, the latest episodes of daily soaps haven't been shot, leading to their re-run on channels. Similarly, Ekta Kapoor's two popular shows-Kumkum Bhagya and its spin-off Kundali Bhagya have also faced the brunt of no new episodes. However, the producer has come to an interesting conclusion to keep her audience entertained that too without a re-run.

Ekta, on Instagram, yesterday, informed that instead of old episodes of Kumkum Bhagya and Kundali Bhagya, she has decided to air one of her popular web series from her digital entertainment platform- ALT Balaji's library. The web show is none other than Sakshi Tanwar's-Ram Kapoor's Karrle Tu Bhi Mohabbat. The ace producer shared a promo of the show on her Instagram and surely sent fans into a zone of excitement. Karrle Tu Bhi Mohabbat will air on Zee TV from 9 pm to 10 pm.

Karrle Tu Bhi Mohabbat marks Sakshi's and Ram's reunion after Ekta's Bade Achhe Lagte Hain that premiered in 2011 and ended in 2014. The ALT Balaji show focuses on the story of an actor Karan Khanna and Dr. Tripurasundari Nagrajan aka Tipsy. The two who are poles apart, fall in love and this forms the crux of the show. Karrle Tu Bhi Mohabbat has completed 3 seasons.

Talking about Kumkum Bhagya and Kundali Bhagya, the latter is the spin-off of the former. The former revolves around the tale of Pragya(Sriti Jha) and Abhi (Shabbir Ahluwalia) who belong to different ideologies and upbringing. As love blossoms, the two face a number of obstacles and this is what the show is all about. Kundali Bhagya is about Preeta's (Shraddha Arya) and Karan's (Dheeraj Dhoopar) romantic journey.
