Janta Curfew against Coronavirus: Kapil Sharma, Rashami Desai, Hina Khan, Sanaya Irani-Mohit Sehgal, Himanshi Khurana and Anita Hassanandani clap and cheer for 5 minutes at 5 pm

The sudden outbreak of the deadly Coronavirus aka COVID-19 has brought the whole world to a standstill. With the number of infected increasing at an alarming rate per day, the Indian Government, as well as the Maharashtra State Government, has announced a sort of shutdown across various states. Now, the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, in his recent speech, addressed the citizens to stay at home today and called for a 'Janta Curfew'. Supporting this decision of Mr.Modi, Bollywood celebrities have joined hands to request their fans to stay at home and be safe.

Mr. Modi, under the initiative of Janta Curfew, asked the citizens to clap, blow a conch shell or use utensils to make noise as an ode to those who have been working tirelessly for the safety of the city. As the clock struck 5 pm, as instructed, television celebrities along with others, came out in their balconies to thank the authorities. Hina Khan stepped out in her balcony and lauded the efforts of essential service authorities.

Sanaya Irani and her actor husband Mohit Sehgal used utensils to cheer.

Kapil Sharma too cheered. He was in his balcony with his daughter Anayra. He was also seen jammed with Mika Singh.

Shivangi Joshi and Karanvir Bohra cheered and clapped with their family in attendance.
