Producer Ekta Kapoor and actor-turned-politician Smriti Irani have been friends for more than 19 years and with time, their bond has strengthened. The two met on the sets of the iconic show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and since then there is no looking back. Both, Ekta and Smriti love to express their fondness towards each other through social media.
On International Women’s Day (March 8), Smriti tagged Ekta in her post and spoke about strong women. Recently, Ekta, on Instagram, expressed her love for Smriti. She penned a long message for her and said that Smriti is a wonderful multitasker and an all-rounder. She wrote, “Ths woman started working with me then became my best frn then went on to take on d world of politics! She is adept to talk on anything from art politics business movies ..n has perfected d art of parenting ( if there is anything as perfect) multitasking balancing multiple roles ..she makes me wanna do better ! Not on woman’s day but I celebrate our frn ship everyday #soulsister credit: @smritiiraniofficial... On the work front, Ekta’s recently-produced web-series Mentalhood is streaming on ALT Balaji and ZEE5 simultaneously. On the other hand, Smriti is currently serving as the Minister of Textiles and the Minister of Women and Child Development in the cabinet of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
