Two days after Hardik Pandya's apology note, Hotstar takes down his controversial Koffee With Karan episode

After Hardik Pandya's 'sexist' comments on the sixth season of Karan Johar's celebrity chat show Koffee With Karan, Hotstar - the video streaming website - that airs the program- has pulled off the episode featuring the cricketer. The episode was aired on January 6 and is not available on the website after the cricketer's remarks that caused widespread outrage and was termed as highly 'misogynist' by social media.

After scrolling down through Star World India's official Instagram handle, we also noticed that even the page has removed all pictures and videos from the cricketer's episode.

Along with Hardik, cricketer KL Rahul also appeared as Karan’s guest on the show. After the episode aired, Hardik was trolled as well as censured on social media that led him to issue an apology note, in which he wrote that he "got carried away with the nature of the show."

With his comments, Hardik also invited the ire of BCCI as the national governing body issued show cause notices to both of them in lieu of their comments on women, a news agency reported on Wednesday. “We have sent show cause notices to Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul for their comments. They have been given 24 hours to give an explanation,” Vinod Rai, Chairman of the Committee of Administrators, BCCI, told the news agency.

On the show, Pandya boasted about hooking up with multiple women, judging them by their dance moves and also spoke about how open he is with his parents about his personal life.
