Ishqbaaz actor Nakuul Mehta upset with Rani Mukerji’s comment on MeToo; urges her to listen

Ishqbaaz actor Nakuul Mehta recently took a dig at Bollywood actress Rani Mukerji for giving more importance to learning martial arts than the need for a transparent environment as suggested by the other actors.

At a recent round-table conference, Bollywood actresses including Rani, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Taapsee Pannu, Anushka Sharma and Tabu were discussing MeToo wherein Rani spoke about how self-defence was the need of the hour. She also said that mothers cannot be told how to bring up their kids. On the other hand, Deepika and Anushka spoke about the need for a transparent environment that allows girls to voice their fears.

Rani seemed rigid about her point and didn’t seem to give other ladies a chance to speak up. Many did not like Rani's point of view and expressed their displeasure on social media and Nakuul is one of them.

Well, this is not the first time the actor has spoken about MeToo. His award acceptance speech at one of the functions was also about making a committed effort towards gender equality and making workplaces safer.
