Koffee With Karan: Diljit Dosanjh wins hearts while Badshah lives up to his bad boy image

The latest Sunday episode of Koffee With Karan featuring rapper Badshah and actor-artist Diljit Dosanjh was a literal music fest ‘in the house.’ The super paced and quick-witted Badshah confessed to being a bad boy and lived up to the image with his naughty confessions while our Punjabi Munda Diljit wowed us all with his desi-ness. All in all, the episode was high on ‘Wakhra Swag’ as the Fun-jabi trio including host Karan Johar ensued a laughter riot.

The episode began with Karan admitting to planning his airport looks and even parking the paparazzi to catch his fashion outings. Taking the baton forward were Diljit and Badshah, who solemnly swear by high-end, sophisticated and luxury clothing brands. While Diljit walked away with the 'Fashion Master' title, Badshah beat him in the rapid-fire and game round. For a starter pack of grilling, Johar bowled his guests prodding them about their first performance. Diljit also spoke about his teenage prayer and yes, he made it happen.

It was at a tender age for Diljit, staging up in vest and shorts eventually forgetting the lyrics. But it was a rather embarrassing encounter for Badshah who was sold to perform at a gay club at 15. "After the show, I found out I was sold to a gay club to perform at a gay party," revealed the Proper Patola crooner. LOL. *plays Abhi Toh Party Shuru Hui Hai in background*

Diljit also spoke about how he was way ahead of Badshah in life when he was a young boy.

Owing to the fact that both the musicians don’t drink or smoke, Karan got the boys high on ‘chaas’ (buttermilk) shots. The sweet Diljit met with quite many face-palm moments with the questions and leg-pulling. Then, of course, to top it all there was this discussion of his obsession with Kylie Jenner. But the Do You Know singer shut it once and for all saying, "Wo mujhe achhi lagti hai, haad hoti nahi hai jab koi achhi lagti hai," he said referring to the makeup mogul. Not giving away too much information about his love life, Diljit said he doesn’t like when girlfriends nag or ask him about his whereabouts or bombard him with too many questions. But Diljit did not stop from speaking about Kylie (yet again).

Raise your hands if you know the real name of Badshah, for he claims, it’s a question worth Rs 3.20 lakhs on Amitabh Bachchan-hosted Kaun Banega Crorepati! It’s Aditya Prateek Singh Sisodia, FYI. Bad boy Shah confessed to two-timing (probably more) as he downed a shot for being with more than one woman at the same time. Moreover, when asked about which artist he thinks uses auto-tune a lot, he chose to ride solo. But what really caught our attention that he picked Kiara Advani when quizzed about an actress he’d like to take out on a date. Kartik Aaryan is an overrated actor, feels Badshah. Ahem. Drake is his dream collaboration, and ain't that a partnership we'd give a right leg and arm to witness?!

Overall, the Sunday episode was quite an honest, direct-from-heart account. Unlike the practiced and tonnes of diplomacy we saw in the previous ones, Diljit and Badshah didn’t hesitate one bit from revealing their firsts – as a business class flyer, forgetting lyrics, buying expensive clothes and living life king size. They also spoke about meeting their real-life idols Salman and Shah Rukh Khan respectively for the first time. So while Badshah took home all the trophies and lavish hampers, Diljit won us all over with his innocence.

By the end of the episode all we could say to the both of them was, Do You Know…Main Tennu Kinna Pyaar Karda…
