TV couple Ishita Dutta and Vatsal Sheth to reunite onscreen post marriage

Actors Ishita Dutta and Vatsal Sheth who got married in a private ceremony last year  (November 28) are all set to reunite onscreen. The two, who first met on the show, Rishton Ka Saudagar — Baazigar, will now be seen on the supernatural show - Kaun Hai? Well, this will be their first outing post marriage.

In an interview to a leading tabloid, the couple spoke about their lives post marriage, working together again and falling in love in spite of no-dating clause.

Talking about how much life has changed post marriage, Vatsal shared, “The best part is that we get to leave for the shoot and return home together. We are usually away for 12 hours, but working together is like a blessing in disguise, as we can be together.” To this, Ishita added, “I am very excited. It takes us four hours to commute and fortunately, we can be together even while travelling.”

It was during the shoot of their show Baazigar that the couple first came in the news after they were made to sign a no-dating clause by the production house. However, the two ended up marrying each other.

“Many, including my friends, refuse to believe that we weren’t dating during the shoot of the show. The fact remains that we continued to meet after the show wrapped up and fell in love, eventually. We had a great time during Baazigar, but we were definitely not a couple then. I absolutely understood the predicament of my producers and had no qualms signing the clause. I was in support of the producers, and believe that work shouldn’t suffer at any cost. But emotions can’t be controlled and when something is bound to happen, it will happen. There have been several instances where a lead couple, by virtue of spending long hours together, have fallen in love. It also works for the show, as a real-life couple’s chemistry reflects on screen. However, it becomes a problem when they split, as that too, can affect the show. So, the clause came into effect keeping the interest of the show in mind. However, Ishita and I are too focussed to allow it to affect our work. It’s rather uncanny that despite singing the no-dating clause, we are married today,” Vatsal Sheth said in a statement.

Ishita added further, “There are such policies and clauses in corporate setups as well in aboard. I am not against it, but you can’t stop someone from falling in love, when it’s bound to happen, in spite of these clauses.”

The two have already started shooting for Kaun Hain? where they will be seen as a couple. It will be a 10-episodic series.
