Gul Khan's Ishqbaaz to go off air in November; makers refuse to comment

Television series Ishqbaaz, starring Nakuul Mehta and Surbhi Chandna in pivotal roles, will go off air in November after weeks of rumours of the show’s termination emerged in the circuit. Along with producer Gul Khan, makers denied reports as such so far but if sources are to be believed, team Ishqbaaz has received a final ultimatum regarding its conclusion.

Ishqbaaz has been witnessing relatively low TRPs for a while and in order to improve the scenario, makers relentlessly altered the plotline but the effort, seemingly, was in vain. The channel, on which Ishqbaaz airs, has thus asked the makers to pull off the show. The last episode, as per sources, will air during the first week of November.

"Despite the continuous changes in the storyline, the show has been struggling to garner decent TRP on the BARC chart. Finally, the makers have been asked to pull off the show by the channel. It will on air its last episode in the first week of November 2018 and the actors have been informed about it too. The makers have informed their writers to work on the storyline accordingly,” sources said.

We tried contacting Gul and Surbhi to confirm the news; however, both remained unavailable to comment.

Sources, meanwhile, also said that Ishqbaaz will be replaced by Gul’s own romantic love story which is untitled yet.

Ishqbaaz premiered in 2016 and co-stars Kunal Jaisingh, Shrenu Parikh and Leenesh Mattoo.
