Kasautii Zindagii Kay has been creating buzz ever since producer Ekta Kapoor announced the comeback of the decade-old show. The news of Kasautii’s reboot version broke the internet and curiosity of who will play who hit everyone hard. It was soon confirmed that it will be Erica Fernandes who will essay the role of Prerna and Parth Samthaan as Anurag but confusion regarding whether telly star Hina Khan will play Komolika’s role still continued.
Now PeepingMoon.com confirms that it will indeed be Hina Khan who will be playing the iconic role of Komolika and the actress will start shooting for the show from October! The actress is also said to be the highest paid actress amongst the starcast, charging a whopping amount of Rs. 2.5 lakh per episode.
Erica and Parth, on the other hand, have already begun shooting for their parts in the city and will be going to Kolkata soon for a week-long shoot. Another interesting add-on to the show is that Superstar Shah Rukh Khan who was recently seen in the show's promo with Ekta will also turn narrator for the first few episodes.
Last night, Hina also attended the premiere of Ekta's ALT Balaji web series Home's and took to her Instagram account to share her first picture with Ekta. Although Hina has been tight-lipped about playing the role of Komolika, this picture of the two speaks volumes. Hina used a really sweet caption for the producer, but what really caught our attention was Ekta's confusing comment on the post.
Hina wrote, "And my first ever selfie with the woman I looked upto all these years.. your energy is simply love dear"

To this, Ekta replied, "Was fantastic meeting u!!! Hope to work with u sometime in the future" to which Hina replied with a simple 'yesssss.'
Confuse us all you want, Ekta but we already know that it's Hina who has already made the cut as Komolika.
