Ekta Kapoor is coming up with Kasautii Zindagii Kay's second season and fans cannot wait to know who's playing the lead roles. While Erica Fernandes has been finalized to play 'Prerna' in the reboot of 'Kasautii Zindagii Kay', the search for an actor to play Anurag Basu is on. The original serial had Shweta Tiwari and Cezanne Khan playing the lead roles.
A source informed a leading daily that producer Ekta Kapoor has been meeting TV actors and auditions are underway. “Several actors have already given look tests, but Ekta wants somebody who will match the traits of Anurag. The hero has to be a little khadoos, a workaholic and a man who is stuck between two women,” said the source, adding, “There was talk of Shaheer Sheikh doing the role, but he is not in the reckoning. Ekta has two actors in mind, Angad Bedi and Mohit Raina, but is yet to take a final call. Nonetheless, she will decide soon as the shoot is scheduled to begin in two weeks.”
Angad Bedi has been a part of the Indian film industry for a long time now but we've never really seen him in TV serials. It's going to be a new experience for Bedi and a treat for all his fans if he makes it to Kasautii 2. On the other hand, Mohit Raina has been a part of several TV serials and is especially known for his role as Lord Shiv in Devon Ke Dev: Mahadev.
However, sources have it Angad's only focus is Soorma and post that he is shooting for Inside Edge with Excel Entertainment. So he might not be the part of the show at all!
