Karan Wahi Birthday: From Remix to Hate Story 4, here's a look at the actor's rise to fame

Television heartthrob Karan Wahi is celebrating his 32nd birthday today. The actor was born on June9, 1986 and shares his birthday with actress Sonam Kapoor as well. Karan has come a long way right from his TV debut to featuring prominently in film roles and finally making his Bollywood debut as a lead actor.

Here’s a look at Karan’s career growth right from his struggling days to his small screen appearance which earned him name, fame, and glory.

1.Remix

Karan made his TV debut in 2004 with the television show Remix in which he played the role of Ranveer Sisodia. He earned fame early on with this role and every young girl had her sights on him and wanted to date a boy exactly like his character. The series was based on the lives of 12th-grade students studying in an elite school called Maurya High.

2.Dill Mill Gayye

Karan played the role of Dr.Siddhant Modi in the popular youth show Dill Mill Gayye which made him immensely popular among the TV viewing audience. Dill Mill Gayye was a medical drama that started airing in 2007 and ended on October 29, 2010. It was a sequel to the Star Plus series Sanjivani - A Medical Boon that was a stupendous hit. The show follows the life of surgical interns and resident doctors of Sanjeevani.

3.Kuch Toh Log Kahenge

In Kuch Toh Log Kahenge Karan played the role of Rohan, the female protagonist Nidhi’s friend. Although it was a supporting role still he managed to make an impression with his boy-next-door affability and lovable antics.

4.Daawat-e-Ishq

Karan made his Bollywood debut in the Aditya Roy Kapur and Parineeti Chopra starrer Daawat-e-Ishq. The film was directed by Habib Faisal and produced by Aditya Chopra. He played the role of Amjad, with whom Parineeti’s character initially falls in love with. Though a small role, Karan managed to make a good impression.

5.Hate Story 4

Karan finally made his foray into the big league as a lead actor in Hate Story 4 this year opposite Urvashi Rautela. The film is a revenge thriller film and is the fourth installment in the Hate Story film franchise. However, the film did not fare too well at the box office.

Karan, in between, has been a constant face of many reality shows like Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 8, Entertainment Ki Raat, India's Next Superstars and others.
