Here's some good news for the fans of Star Plus' show, Diya Aur Baati Hum's Sooraj aka Anas Rashid. The actor, known for his sensitive act in the show, has finally walked down the aisle with his fiancee Heena over the weekend.
Heena is an HR professional situated out of Chandigarh. Anas is apparently 14 years older to her. The actor is 38 years while Heena is just 24 years old. Anas and Heena both belong to Malerkotla. Though an arranged setup, the two took ample of time to know each other.
The couple got married in Malerkotla, Punjab the last weekend and will soon have a fancy reception in Mumbai for their friends and industry acquaintances.
Meanwhile, the sequel to the Anas' show Diya Aur Baati Hum titled Tu Sooraj, Main Saanjh Piyaji is going strong and focuses on the next generation of the Rathis. Anas is not a part of the new series and regrets it. He recently said, "I only have regrets of not being a part of the show. I felt sad to see that Bhabo (Neelu Vaghela) has grown so old now and I felt like hugging her and telling her not to worry, have the Jalebis as they have been made by me. I even saw a new girl as Kanak who is making Jalebis. They are like a family to me and I always look up to them as a family. My best wishes are with them but I have regrets about not being a part of it."
Anas had played a cameo in the second season recently.
