Box Office: Arjun Kapoor’s- Kriti Sanon's ‘Panipat’ off to a decent start, Kartik Aaryan’s ‘Pati, Patni Aur Woh’ gets an excellent opening

Arjun Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Sanjay Dutt starrer Panipat opened to decent numbers at the box office. The film has received commendable reviews by most critics as well as the audience. The film garnered Rs 4.12 crore at the box office on its first day. Even though word-of-mouth was good for the film it did not garner a huge amount at the theatres but should improve in the days to come.

Panipat is directed by Ashutosh Gowariker and brings to celluloid the battle fought between the Marathas and Afghani ruler Ahmed Shah Abdali. The film is a little long (close to 3 hours) which might be a cause for its low numbers. However, the actors’ performances and Gowariker’s direction and grandeur are highly appreciated.

Pati, Patni Aur Woh has become Kartik’s highest opening film and the audiences’ are loving its dialogues, songs and the strong message it imparts in an entertaining way. The film is directed by Mudassar Aziz and is the remake of BR Chopra’s classic starring Sanjeev Kumar, Vidya Sinha and Ranjeet Kaur of the same name. The film also stars Aparshakti Khurana in a pivotal role.
