Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Bharat hit the silver screens on the occasion of Eid, June 5. The film collected Rs 42.30 crore in the opening day itself and went on to cross the coveted Rs 100 crore mark in three days of its release. What's more? The film had a very good extended first weekend of Rs 150.10 crore as Bharat raked in Rs 27.90 crore on Sunday. Although there was a good jump on Saturday but the follow up was limited on Sunday due to the big cricket match between India and Australia.

Meanwhile, Bharat will have to show a good hold on Monday and the coming weekdays to hold its ground at the box-office. "The film has done well all over although in some centers it was mainly due to Eid and the star power of Salman Khan," reports a trade portal.

On the other hand, Ajay Devgn, Tabu and Rakul Preet Singh starrer De De Pyaar De has been holding well despite tough competition. In its fourth weekend, the film collected Rs 2.32 crore on Sunday, taking the total collections to Rs 99.33 crore. Soon enough, the film will enter the Rs 100 crore club. A report in a trade portal suggests, “The drop is 75% from last weekend which is good considering the scenario and the film has now crossed Rs 90 crore nett. It will be the sixth highest nett grosser of the year till date.”
