Sanju Box Office: Ranbir's film beats Aamir's PK to become the 3rd biggest grosser

In what is yet another super successful feat for Sanju at the Box Office, the Rajkumar Hirani's directorial has garnered Rs 341. 22 crore. This means that this Ranbir Kapoor starrer is now the third highest grossing Hindi film ever.

Earlier, the position was enjoyed by Aamir Khan's PK, another Hirani's directorial. The film had collected Rs 340 crore at the Box Office in its lifetime run. However, Sanju, while still going strong at the ticket window, has beaten PK to make this glorious achievement.

The top two Hindi films now are Baahubali: The Conclusion, which stands at Rs 510. 99 cr and Aamir Khan's Dangal which raked in Rs 387. 38 crore in its lifetime run.

Sanju, a biopic on actor Sanjay Dutt, got rave reviews from both the critics and the audience alike. The film was majorly appreciated for Ranbir's evident transformation for the role of Dutt. The performance by other pivotal actors in the film also helped in building excitement.

Sanju stayed really strong at the Box Office and gave a stiff competition to the films released later, Soorma, Dhadak and Mission: Impoissble - Fallout. It would now be interesting to see how well would films like Fanney Khan, Mulk and Karwaan be able to do in front of Sanju.
