I put in so much hard work, they should increase my pay, but nobody listens: Salman Khan's request to makers of Bigg Boss 15

Salman Khan has been hosting Bigg Boss for the past 11 seasons. Known for giving contestants a reality check and grilling them for their conduct in the house, the Bollywood superstar is loved as a host by many. Touted to be one of the highest-paid actors on television, Salman's fees are something that fans are curious about. Every year rumours about his paycheque surface and there is no exception this time too.  

Salman, who is currently shooting for Tiger 3 in Europe, attended Bigg Boss 15's launch held in Madhya Pradesh on Thursday via video call. While interacting with the media, Salman joked about his pay package. He requested the channel to increase his remuneration. "I keep telling the makers I put in so much hard work, they should consider it and increase my pay, but nobody listens. I just pray to God that a time comes when the channel tells me, Salman we'll increase your pay & I would tell them, no let it be," Salman told.

According to reports, Salman will be charging Rs 350 crores for hosting Bigg Boss 15 for 14 weeks. The season is expected to go on for 5 months. Reportedly, the superstar was paid as much as Rs 2.5 crores per episode from season 4 to season 6. It was said that for season 7, he charged Rs 5 crore per episode. Salman reportedly earned Rs 13 crore per episode for hosting Bigg Boss 13. 

As of now, Shamita Shetty, Nishant Bhat, Donal Bisht, Umar Riaz and Pratik Sehajpal are the confirmed contestants.
